JOE HOLMES, the guitarist best known for his years with OZZY OSBOURNE and DAVID LEE ROTH, has released his long-awaited self-titled debut solo album. The record arrived June 6, 2026, and features an impressive cast of collaborators — most notably METALLICA bassist ROBERT TRUJILLO and FAITH NO MORE drummer MIKE BORDIN, both of whom shared the stage with Holmes during the OZZY years in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

The album contains eight tracks: "Speak Into The Sea," "Cross Eyed Stare," "The Deadfall," "OCIN," "Away," "Lay You Low," "The Crush Of Light," and "Wake Into The Inside." Vocalist Robert Locke handles microphone duties throughout, while Brent Hoffort contributed melodies and lyrics. Rich Mouser co-produced and engineered the album at the Mouse House in Altadena, California.

Holmes got his start studying guitar under the legendary RANDY RHOADS, a formative experience that shaped his playing style from the ground up. He went on to join DAVID LEE ROTH's band before landing his most high-profile role in OZZY OSBOURNE's touring and recording lineup. He co-wrote three tracks on OZZY's 2001 album Down To Earth, cementing his place in the Prince of Darkness's legacy.

The album is dedicated to the memory of OZZY OSBOURNE, who passed away in February 2026. "I dedicated it to Ozzy's memory," Holmes stated. "I would have loved the opportunity to talk with him before he passed." The guitarist reflected on how his varied career shaped the music on this record: "Every situation prepared me for the next. From Randy to Dave to Ozzy — all my collective experience has contributed to this album."

The reunion of Holmes, Trujillo, and Bordin on this project carries special resonance — all three were central figures in OZZY's band during some of the most acclaimed years of his late-1990s run. Trujillo went on to join METALLICA in 2003, while Bordin has remained the backbone of FAITH NO MORE. Holmes largely stepped away from the spotlight after the OZZY years, but this solo debut proves his voice as a writer and musician has only deepened with time.

Joe Holmes is available now on digital platforms.
