SLAYER have announced a Latin American "Reign In Blood" 40th Anniversary Tour for fall 2026, celebrating four decades since the release of one of heavy metal's most devastating and historically significant records.
"Reign In Blood" was originally released on October 7, 1986 via Def Jam Recordings — a landmark that Kerrang! magazine famously crowned "the heaviest album of all time." The record went gold in 1992 with over 500,000 copies sold, and its influence on thrash, death, and extreme metal remains immeasurable.
The touring lineup features the classic configuration: Kerry King (guitar), Tom Araya (bass/vocals), Gary Holt (guitar), and Paul Bostaph (drums).
Latin American dates:
- Oct. 21 — Mexico City, Mexico | Palacio de los Deportes (with POWER TRIP)
- Dec. 5 — Bogota, Colombia | Vive Claro (with KREATOR, ULTRA LEGENDS)
- Dec. 10 — Santiago, Chile | Estadio Santa Laura (with KREATOR, AVERNAL)
- Dec. 14 — Buenos Aires, Argentina | Movistar Arena (with KREATOR, CRIMINAL)
- Dec. 17 — Sao Paulo, Brazil | Allianz Parque (with KREATOR, KORZUS)
The Latin American run is part of a broader anniversary campaign. In the US, SLAYER will perform on September 4 in Shakopee, MN alongside DOWN, SUICIDAL TENDENCIES, and HATEBREED, and headline November 13-14 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles — their first LA shows in seven years — with CANNIBAL CORPSE, CAVALERA, and CROWBAR.
To see SLAYER performing "Reign In Blood" in full, in arenas across Latin America, alongside KREATOR and local legends, represents one of the rare and genuine events in metal. Forty years since Tom Araya screamed "RAINING BLOOD" into the void — and that album still sounds like the end of the world.
