HOLISSSTIK have released "Would You Take This Heart," the second advance single from their debut album, "Chapter 1: This Endless Solitude," due out August 14, 2026 on Season of Mist.
The song began as a stripped-down ambient sketch before growing into something far heavier. "Collaboration is the heart and soul of HOLISSSTIK," project mastermind Tor-Helge Skei said. "'Would You Take This Heart' was originally a simple, slow, ambient instrumental. But, as is often the case, the song evolved, unplanned and uncontrolled. As more and more collaborators added their parts, it became heavier and heavier, darker and darker."
Skei, a Norwegian multi-instrumentalist and producer, is a founding member of MANES and LETHE, two acts that have spent decades pushing at the edges of metal and electronic music. HOLISSSTIK extends that boundary-pushing further still, drawing in an extensive cast of collaborators across "Chapter 1: This Endless Solitude" — the first installment of a planned trilogy.
New Noise called the album "an unfathomably nuanced recurring lucid dream" upon its announcement, adding that it is "haunting to the utmost degree by virtue of its funereal darkness, juxtaposed with tempting yet uncanny luminescence."
With "Would You Take This Heart" following the project's first advance single, HOLISSSTIK continue to reveal a collective built as much on shared spirit as on Skei's own restless creative instincts — one that, by its own telling, took shape less through planning than through the accumulated weight of everyone who touched it.
"Chapter 1: This Endless Solitude" arrives August 14, 2026 via Season of Mist.
