AYREON, the brainchild of Dutch guitarist/composer Arjen Lucassen, has posted audio samples (' , ' ) of the next two guest singers who will appear on the band's upcoming album, tentatively due late 2007/early 2008: Phideaux Xavier and AFTER FOREVER frontwoman Floor Jansen. Other vocalists scheduled to appear on the CD include Bob Catley (MAGNUM), Anneke van Giersbergen (THE GATHERING), Jonas P. Renske (KATATONIA), Jorn Lande (MASTERPLAN), Tom S. A total of fifteen singers have been confirmed to guest on the album, with more to be added.
Folk metal band Wolfsangel from St. Petersburg, Russia celebrated their 5th anniversary in a special way. They had changed their name to Wolfmare. SPV has set an October 12 German release date for Moonspell's new CD, "Under SatanÆ", which consists of re-recordings of the band's legendary Ep "Under the Moonspell" (1994) as well as their first demo "Anno SatanÆ" and their sole track as Morbid God, "Serpent Angel". All songs were re-arranged and revamped in order to "underline their revered distinction as underground classics but now with a mature dark energy and class," according to a press release. Guitarist Steve Smyth has officially parted ways with NEVERMORE, citing personal and business differences.
According to Smyth: "All things find their end eventually, and at this time, I wish to make it clear that this was mutually agreed between the band and myself.
I will continue on with other aspects of my music career, including the upcoming release of The EssenEss Project, an all instrumental album, in the vein of progressive rock, that is now finished and being prepared for release.

"At the moment, Peavy, Victor and André are working with high pressure at their new album, with the working title "Carved in Stone".

Though the world knows now that EnEsch has moved to Berlin, even the poor EnEsch was shocked by the outlook to have to step into Till Lindemanns footsteps. Banana at the 21st annual NY/NJ Kiss Expo that Alice Cooper has recorded a guest appearance on "The Scarecrow", the third installment of EDGUY frontman Tobias Sammet's AVANTASIA solo project. According to Singer, Michael Schenker (ex-UFO, SCORPIONS) and Michael's brother Rudolf (SCORPIONS) will also appear on the album, which features Eric on drums, Tobias on bass, and former MASTERPLAN/ARK frontman Jorn Lande and Amanda Somerville (the American singer-songwriter and vocal coach who is better known for her collaborations with various European metal bands, including EPICA, AFTER FOREVER and EDGUY) on additional vocals. More guest appearances are expected to be announced soon.
