A special celebration honouring the life and legend of BON SCOTT — the iconic AC/DC vocalist — has been announced for New York City. The event, dubbed "Bon Scott's 80th Birthday Bash," is set to take place on July 9, 2026 at The Cutting Room, and has been authorized by the Bon Scott estate.

The evening will feature performances from two celebrated rock musicians: Corey Glover, vocalist of funk-metal pioneers LIVING COLOUR, and Steve Brown, guitarist of New Jersey glam-metal outfit TRIXTER. Both artists bring deep roots in the rock and metal worlds, making them fitting tributes for a night dedicated to one of the genre's most charismatic frontmen.

BON SCOTT — born Ronald Belford Scott on July 9, 1946, in Kirriemuir, Scotland — would have turned 80 years old on the date of the event. He rose to international fame as the high-octane vocalist of AC/DC, helping drive the band from Australian pub rock obscurity to global hard rock dominance. His raw, irreverent delivery, combined with sharp wit and infectious swagger, set a template for rock frontmanship that countless singers have aspired to since.

Among his most celebrated recordings are the albums Let There Be Rock (1977) and Highway to Hell (1979), the latter widely regarded as one of the greatest hard rock albums ever made. Tragically, BON SCOTT died on February 19, 1980, in London, at the age of 33.

The Cutting Room show promises to be an emotional and joyous celebration of a man whose voice shaped a generation. Ticket information has not yet been released.
