METAL CHURCH's completely revamped lineup has finally hit the stage for the first time, debuting live at San Luis Metal Fest in San Luis Potosí, Mexico on May 17. The current roster features founding guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof alongside longtime guitarist Rick Van Zandt, former MEGADETH bassist David Ellefson, powerhouse drummer Ken Mary (FLOTSAM AND JETSAM, FIFTH ANGEL, ALICE COOPER, HOUSE OF LORDS), and vocalist Brian Allen (VICIOUS RUMORS).

The band's reformation was announced in November 2025, following a period of extended inactivity caused by Vanderhoof's back issues. Their latest album "Dead to Rights" — recorded with the new lineup — was released on April 10 via Rat Pak Records, marking the band's 13th studio effort.

Vanderhoof has credited QUEENSRŸCHE's Todd La Torre for recommending Brian Allen, whose audition reportedly won him over immediately. "After 45 years, the fact that we have new music coming... feels like a miracle," Vanderhoof has stated. He also made clear that chemistry was non-negotiable: "If it's not fun, I'm out."

The live debut in Mexico was part of the band's commitment to extensive touring in support of "Dead to Rights." Confirmed European festival appearances include Brutal Assault (Czech Republic), Alcatraz Festival (Belgium), and Keep It True (Germany).
