ERIK GRÖNWALL, the Swedish vocalist best known for his stints with SKID ROW and H.E.A.T, has released a music video for "Who's The Winner," a track from his debut solo album Bad Bones, which arrived on May 22.

The album marks a defining personal milestone. Produced alongside longtime collaborator Jona Tee — his former H.E.A.T bandmate and keyboardist — Bad Bones gathers 10 original songs and stands as Grönwall's first fully individual artistic statement. "This album is 100 percent me — the good, the bad, all of it," the vocalist declared. "Bad Bones is about identity, survival, and having the courage to stand by who you are."

The road to this record was anything but straight. In March 2021, Grönwall was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia and underwent a bone marrow transplant. He joined SKID ROW in early 2022 — a remarkable comeback — before departing in April 2024 when the band's touring demands conflicted with his ongoing medical monitoring requirements.

Rather than stepping back, Grönwall poured the experience into music. "I've been experimenting, soul searching... I realized who I am as an artist is everything I've done so far, combined," he explained.

Bad Bones has already found its way onto Bandit Rock (Sweden), Planet Rock (UK), and Star FM (Germany), and Grönwall has announced two sold-out hometown shows at the legendary Cirkus venue in Stockholm. For a vocalist who fought his way back from leukemia, releasing a debut solo album feels less like a career move and more like a declaration of life.
